There was some type of system glitch with the counters on Journals. Magic Smoke journal has the details. Counts got lost, decreased and in some cases increased.
One little curious aspect to the hit counter code used with AOL Journals is that if you place an additional counter code via copy and paste, your hit count per visit doubles.
THE DAMN THING OUGHTTA BE FIXED, ESPECIALLY IN THIS TIME OF SERIOUS, WIDESPREAD LACK OF MEMBERSHIP CONFIDENCE IN AOL STAFF, AND AOL POLICY CHANGES. MANY MEMBERS OF MORE THAN 10 YEARS STANDING ARE TALKING OPENLY OF SECURING ANOTHER ACCESS TO THE INTERNET. IN MY RECREATION SPHERE, MASTERS SWIMMING USMS AND SPMA (SOUTHERN PACIFIC MASTER'S ASSOC.) THE PRESIDENT OF SPMA LITERALLY SCREAMED AT ME, AFTER BAD EXPERIENCES, "BARRY, AOL IS NOT! NOT! NOT! THE INTERNET!!!)
...Barry...One time..when one of mine was missing..This is what I did. I went to edit journal. Then I removed the counter. Or...maybe did not choose it as an option to include in that list of "links, etc'...anyhow...got rid of it....
Then a little while later...same day...I added it back..and it had corrected itself. Maybe this would work..for yours?...my love...Kristlebleu
